Brad Sinsel
Brad Sinsel
There are some truly great frontmen in the rocknroll business, Ian Hunter (Mott The Hoople), Noddy Holder (Slade), Paul Stanley (Kiss), Johnny Rotten (Sex Pistols), Phil Lynott (Thin Lizzy), Bon Scott (ACDC) and Robin Zander (Cheap Trick) to name a few legends.Another fantastic singer that really belong in that list is Brad Sinsel (formerly of T.K.O and War Babies) and currently in the new band American Standard.Listen to their new song "Unreal" at: www.purevolume.com/rothnroll

Ryan Star
Ryan Star
The music industry today is starved for people who truly love music. Those who do it not for the money or the stardom, but because they truly love making good music -- music that they know people can relate to --- the type of music that they´d want to hear. One such person is Ryan Star. Ryan´s been at it for almost a decade now, first with his band Stage, once signed to Maverick Records. After Stage fell apart, Ryan moved on to self-record his debut solo album, ´Songs From The Eye of an Elephant´ in his own living room, an album that would eventually see a wide re-release on Koch Records. Ryan then went on to star in the Rock Star: Supernova competition in 2006, a competition that he nearly won. Now signed to Atlantic, Ryan has the backing to finally get his music out to the masses, and he´s been doing just that ever since. His song "Last Train Home" was featured in the movie ´P.S. I Love You´, and he´s had several songs featured on network TV shows. Ryan´s major-label debut is forthcoming, due out this fall. Melodic.net sat down with Ryan recently to discuss this new album.

Scale The Summit
Scale The Summit
Some bands get lucky and find success instantly. Others have had to work and climb their way up to the top in the music industry. Scale the Summit is one of those bands that show up each and every night to do what they do best! Play ear shredding guitar riffs. After inking a deal with Prosthetic Records in 2008, Scale The Summit cemented their place as one of the brightest up and coming instrumental acts in recent memory. Their brand of “Adventure Metal” is making people listen and gaining these guys new fans each and every day. I sat down with Chris Letchford, the bands guitarist to ask him a few questions about the band as well as his own personal projects. Here is what he had to say.

Sevendust
Sevendust
The music scene is subject to constant change. Many bands last for a few years, score a hit single or two, release a couple albums, then promptly disappear off the face of the Earth. This is all a part of the shifting music landscape, with different sounds constantly becoming more popular. It takes a rare gem of a band to endure such change. Sevendust perfectly exemplify that band. Eight albums and fifteen years later, and Sevendust remain unchanged. They've seen the highest heights and the lowest lows that the music industry has to offer, and yet the music remains the same. Gold and platinum-selling records haven't changed a thing. Make no mistake, Sevendust is all about the music. We recently spoke with vocalist Lajon Witherspoon about Cold Day Memory, and what fans can expect to see on tour this summer.

Shadow Gallery
Shadow Gallery
Shadow Gallery is desribed as one of the most talented progressive bands. After the tragic death of leadsinger Mike Baker october 2008 and the latest release of "Ghost Story" in 2009, apart from some live shows it has become very quiet on the creative part. I had the change to catch up with guitarist and keyboardplayer Gary Wehrkamp to talk about his career and the future plans of Shadow Gallery.

Shugaazer
Shugaazer
AOR,Hard rock,Powerpop or why not combination of all these genres.....ain?t that what people are calling nubreed?!,whatever.....to me good music has always been good music and that?s what Canadian rocker Paul Laine has delivered through the years and still do with his band Danger Danger and now the new amazing Shugaazer. Vancouver seems like a nice place to live in both for the music and weather climate, not to forget their beautiful landscape that is very famous worldwide. And why not be a neighbor to Mr.Laine himself.......I think I?ll start packing!

Shy
Shy
The last full-length album ?Unfinished Business? was released in 2002. It received enthusiastic press feedback and has been voted ?Album of the Month? in many rock magazines. It was just the spur the band needed to get back into doing what they are famous for: writing brilliant AOR music. Now, the band is back with "Sunset And Vine" which features great songs and Tony Mills who is in brilliant shape again! A truly great AOR album!

Sierra Swan
Sierra Swan
Sierra found herself surrounded by music at a very early age. Her father was the prominent guitar sideman Billy Swan, who wrote, performed and toured with Kris Kristofferson and Kinky Friedman, among many others."Without my music, let’s face it, I’d probably be in an insane asylum," half-jokingly admits 27-year-old spitfire Sierra Swan, sipping a glass of wine. "It’s been the only way I’ve been able to take the highs and lows of my life and put them in a safe place. I’m more of an adult because of my music." It’s this kind of honesty and self-realization that inspired the creation of Ladyland, a lyrically charged testament to both feminine strength and tender vulnerability.

A little while ago, Melodic.net got the opportunity to interview the legendary Max Cavalera in Stockholm, Sweden. Unfortunately none of the crew could do it so we sent Erik Broheden from Masters of Audio and Jonas Wohlert to do the task. They got to meet a childhood hero, we got an interview. A win-win situation! Here is what Max says about music, touring and of course his thoughts about his former band Sepultura. Enjoy the read! Many thanks to Erik and Jonas for helping out!
