I STILL LOVE ROCK AND ROLLout Aug.12
The new single and video from Popularity/Artemis recording artists Flipp says it all. Front man and songwriter, Brynn Arens explains "We went out on the road and experienced all sorts of shit, and all I can say is the world needs rock and roll now more than ever". Arens adds further "Art (Alexakis of Everclear) and I wrote that song while on tour last year, and it really sums up what I feel about rock and roll. It?s in my blood along with a few illegal substances and I ain?t ever gonna stop!"
The Midwestern rock quartet had a big active rock radio track last year with their first single, "Freak." "Freak" ruled the airwaves and was in heavy rotation at some of the country?s biggest rock stations including KXXR(93X)/Minneapolis, KRXQ/Sacramento, WAAF/Boston, KEGL/Dallas, and KQRC/Kansas City. The band caused quite a scene with their awesome set at last year?s 93X-Fest show in Minneapolis.
Flipp?s album VOLUME, released in 2002, was co-produced Art Alexakis and Arens. Flipp has toured with the likes of White Zombie, The Ramones, Korn and Cheap Trick and was named Best Rock Band at the 1999 Minnesota Music Awards. Flipp is: Brynn Arens- lead vocals/guitar, Chia Karoke -multi-instrumentalist/vocals, Freaky Useless - bass/vocals and Kilo Bale -drums.
The band has also completed a video for the track, directed by Marco Baca. To check out the video go to
