BLACK OXYGEN THE AMERICAN DREAM ON BILLBOARD CHART/BAND TO ENTER THE STUDIO

On the heels of the song The American Dream charting on both the Billboard Hot Singles chart at #12 and Hot Dance Singles at #4 and a year of going nonstop Kansas City band Black Oxygen - David Lyle (Singer/Songwriter/Lead Guitarist) Nick Lyle (Drums) Jordan Myer (Bass) are heading into the studio with producer Brett Hestla (Dark New Day and Touring bassist of Creed) to record their sophomore album out later this year.

“As the New Year begins we would like to thank everyone who came out to the shows and supported the band and helped to make this such an amazing 2012, also we would like to thank all the great bands we've played and toured with, the clubs and promoters, radio and music press that has championed us this past year.  We are excited to head into the studio to start recording our next album which will be out sometime in 2013 so stay tuned”

 - David Lyle

The band spent most of 2012 on the road playing to sold out crowds alongside Saliva, Sevendust, Emphatic, Eye Empire, Hurt, Taproot, Halestorm, Cavo, Theory of a Deadman, Volbeat, Halestorm & Art of Dying to name a few, they opened the 20th Anniversary show at Rockfest 2012, released their debut album The American Dream and with that 4 videos for songs Take It To The Limit,  Escape The Pain and Insane which both premiered on AOL’s Noise Creep and The American Dream video premiering on Metalholic.

Their DIY work ethic is paying off with over 37k new ‘likes’ on facebook and over 25k followers in Twitter in the past few months.  Expect the band to be back on the road this spring and more news on the sophomore album coming soon.
