Warner Bros. Records' Echosmith Confirmed For Warped Tour This Summer
Warner Bros. Records' Echosmith are confirmed to play the Ernie Ball Stage on the first half of this year's Vans Warped Tour, which cross-crosses the U.S. from June 15th through July 12th. The band have also announced they will hit the road with Owl City for a seven-date run beginning February 10th. Finally, for those who can't wait until then to see the group live, fans can catch Echosmith perform at their Saturday night residency at AMPLIfy in L.A. (5600 Melrose Ave.) on January 19th and January 26th.
Echosmith, which consists of Sierota siblings Jamie (19, vocals/guitar), Sydney (15, vocals/keyboard), Noah (17, vocals/bass), and Graham (14, drums), are currently in the studio working on their upcoming debut album with producer Mike Elizondo (Tegan And Sara, No Doubt, Maroon 5), who signed them to Warner Bros. with WBR chairman and fellow producer Rob Cavallo. The brood grew up in a musical household, sharing a love for playing instruments and listening to bands as varied as Coldplay, The Smiths, U2, Joy Division, and Fleetwood Mac.
With a sound that can be described as alt-pop influenced by early-'80s New Wave, Echosmith is streaming a new song, entitled "Come Together," on their website www.echosmith.com.
