Be sure to follow @TBSOfficial on twitter to catch a live Q&A with members of the band today at 5pm EST where they will discuss the release and make other special announcements.
TAYF10 Acoustic was recorded during the Tell All Your Friends 10th anniversary tour at the Troubadour in Los Angeles and the Beat Kitchen in Chicago in October 2012. The release includes a bonus track and special guest performances. The film version will also include exclusive interview footage of the band discussing the making of the album and their early days of touring.
Both the film and album will be available directly to fans at TakingBackSunday.com and will include package pricing along with exclusive TAYF10 tour merchandise bundles. The album-only version will also be available for purchase at most major digital retailers.
Taking Back Sunday will play two electric shows at Starland Ballroom in New Jersey on Sept. 11 and 12 where they will perform Tell All Your Friends in its entirety. This comes after the band's previously scheduled performance during the TAYF10 tour was moved to another venue in the wake of Hurricane Sandy.
"We were honored to be asked back to help celebrate the re-opening of this important New Jersey venue," said lead vocalist Adam Lazzara. "It only felt right to perform TAYF10 there where it was supposed to happen last year, and that's where we hope to film the companion to the acoustic release."
Long Island's Taking Back Sunday have released five studio albums since forming in 1999. Tell All Your Friends has sold over one million records worldwide, spawned breakthrough anthem "Cute Without the 'E' (Cut From the Team)" and launched the band as one of the most influential of their generation. They have toured with some of the biggest names in rock music (Linkin Park, Blink 182, My Chemical Romance, Green Day) and performed on the main stage of many of the world's largest festivals including Reading and Leeds (UK), Soundwave (Australia), Summer Sonic (Japan), Bamboozle and Vans Warped Tour (US).
They are currently writing new material and plan to begin recording their 6th studio release this summer.
Taking Back Sunday is: Adam Lazzara (lead vocals), John Nolan (guitar, vocals), Eddie Reyes (guitar), Shaun Cooper (bass) and Mark O'Connell (drums).
