Prog Rock Collective, Turning Virtue, Announce Debut Single From New LP

Post-progressive rock quartet, Turning Virtue, have announced their debut single, “Transcend,” from their new full-length album, A Temporary Human Experience, set for release on April 8, 2016. Boasting nine all-new tracks, A Temporary Human Experience is the band’s first release since their debut record from 1997, The Anomaly Room. The new LP was mixed alongside famed engineer Tim Palmer (Pearl Jam, U2, David Bowie) and features drums by Mark Zonder (ex-Fates Warning, current Graham Bonnet Band, Warlord).

Hailing from Buffalo, NY, Turning Virtue is comprised of core members David Karczewski (vocals, guitar), DPA (bass) and Carl Cino (guitars). The project began in 1990, when Karczewski and DPA sought to write and perform music influenced by their musical heroes YES, Rush, and Genesis. Though undergoing a number of lineup changes and hiatuses along the way, Turning Virtue experienced a rebirth with the addition of Cino in 2004 and again in 2011, when Zonder joined behind the drumkit. In 2012, the band began writing and recording what would eventually become A Temporary Human Experience and the production of the album was sealed with the engineering of Palmer.

Mastered in 2015 at Engine Room Audio (NY) by mastering engineer Andy VanDette, the soon-to-be released full-length also features artwork created by Buffalo-based illustrator MJ Myers. Turning Virtue will set out to tour in support of the record in mid 2016 and aims to make 2016 their breakthrough year.
