Shatterproof Announce 'The Opposites Attract' Tour
The Fort Collins, CO Alt/Rock quintet, signed to Revival Recordings, Shatterproof consist of Branson Hoog (vocals/guitar), Jeremy Marmor (guitar/vocals), Josh Schoenig (bass/vocals), TJ Wessel (violin/keys) and Benji Spoliansky (drums). With an electrifying sound, the band incorporates banging violins with heavy instrumental to showcase their unique take on the genre. Earlier this summer, the band unleashed their self-titled EP, which was recorded at The Blasting Room, produced/engineered by Chris Beeble, mixed by Mark Needham at Red Oak Studios with assistant mix engineer by Tyler Spratt and mastered by Stephen Marcussen. The band expands on their debut EP, by stating:
"We believe that this EP is the best of Shatterproof. We have been a band for almost 6 years and have written so many songs. But this EP is what Shatterproof is about, our favorite songs we have written so far. It is painting a picture of the direction we want to go, how we want to write songs and what kind of band we want to be. Having the opportunity to put this EP out through Revival Recordings is huge for us. This EP is some old stuff for older fans, and some new stuff for everyone, and as a package we couldn't be happier with it."
To celebrate the release, the band partnered with Impose Magazine to unveil their latest music video for "Cookie Cutter Life" via can be viewed here. Impose coins the band and song, "Alt rock fresh with a dash of Panic at the Disco drama."
Continuing their push, Shatterproof will be hitting the road at the end of the month with Avoid on "The Opposites Attract Tour" which will kick off in the band's hometown on August 25th in Denver, CO at the Marquis Theater. The tour will wind its way up through to Pacific Northwest hitting Portland and Seattle along the way before heading down the east coast ending in Nashville, TN at The End on September 12th.
