The Starting Line Return With New Label, New Record, Warped Tour
After nearly two years of writing and woodshedding, modern rockers the Starting Line are set to deliver ‘Direction’, their debut for Virgin Records, and quite possibly the strongest album of their career. Now three records in, the Churchville, PA-based quartet— vocalist/bassist Kenny Vasoli, guitarists Matt Watts and Mike Golla and drummer Tom Gryskewicz —will release ‘Direction’ to both stores and digitally on July 31st, at which point, the band´s touring schedule will kick into high gear.
The group will once again return to the Vans Warped tour, joining the summer schedule on July 3 in Vancouver, BC and playing through August 25 at L.A.’s Home Depot Center. The Starting Line just performed at the Bamboozle Festival in New Jersey as well as a Myspace Secret Show in Asbury Park, NJ this past weekend.
The album was produced by Grammy® nominee Howard Benson, whose impeccable rock credentials include Relient K, All-American Rejects and My Chemical Romance, among others. Benson first worked with the band on a couple of songs from TSL’s last album, 2005’s ‘Based on a True Story’, their major-label bow for Geffen after the 2002 debut, ‘Say It Like You Mean It’, on indie Drive-Thru.
