Review

Matti Alfonzetti (Bam Bam Boys, Skin Trade) is one of Sweden´s best rock vocalists, I love his voice and thought it was about time he released a new solo album. It´s been 9 years since the last one "Machine" in 2002, the first solo album "Ready" came out in 2000 and it´s a must have if you´re a fan of AOR. Alfonzetti was involved in some songwriting for The Poodles and also a member of the band Road To Ruin in 2007 but with "Here comes the night", he goes solo again and it´s a joy to hear Alfonzetti sing again. The production from Daniel Flores (The Murder of My Sweet) is excellent and that together with the fab vocal performance makes this album worth listening to, but I was disappointed with the songs. We´re talking Whitesnake influenced melodic rock here and there are a few good songs like "I´ll wait for you" and "Heartbreaker" but I expected more and some songs tend to soundalike which is a shame. Still a decent album.
