Artist discography

New York rockers Tempt has finally released their debut album. In 2014 they released a fantastic EP called Under My Skin that was filled with outstanding hookladen AOR-rock by numbers and was well-produced. Now, the youngsters Zach Allen (lead vocals), Harrison Marcello (guitars, keyboard), Nicholas Burrows (drums) and Max McDonald (bass) has recorded a album filled with huge hooks, brilliant riffs and damn catchy songs. The album has been mixed by Michael Wagener (Dokken, Ozzy, Bonfire) and Mario McNulty (David Bowie) and the sound is crystal clear. Yes, these guys knows what they are doing. I love the great mixture of riff strong guitars and layers of keyboards in the background that makes it sound so damn pure and melodic. The opener Comin´On To You is a straight ahead rocker with crunchy riffs and reminds of Autograph with big background vocals. Next up is the brilliant AOR-rocker Under My Skin with riff strong guitars and the chorus is damn catchy that will hook you up right away. On Use It Or Lose It the melodic guitars shines out and this is a AOR-song with big hooklines and the chorus pure magic with powerful background vocals. Runaway is a outstanding mid-tempo AOR-rocker with all the right trademarks and the chorus is a winner with stunning harmonies. Classy stuff. Aamina is another huge AOR-rocker filled with brilliant riffs and wonderful keyboards that runs to a huge catchy sing-a-long chorus. Fans of dut-dut keyboards will love The Fight. Yes, this opens up just like Bon Jovi´s Runaway or Danger Danger´s Under The Gun with tons of keyboars. This is pure AOR with perfect hooklines and the chorus is AOR by numbers. Time Won´t Heal is a wonderful ballad in the same vein as Def Leppard and listen to Zach how close he sounds like Def Leppard´s Joe Elliott. Love Terminator is more hardrock with heavy melodic riffs but still the melodies are everywhere and the chorus reminds alot of Baton Rouge. The riff strong Neuro-Child rocks big time with great hooklines and the chorus is huge. The album contains 14 tracks and I won´t find a single filler just winners all the way. This is a perfect mixture of 80s hardrock and tougher hooklande AOR. Zach Allen must get a mention because he´s a brilliant singer and also the guitarwork from Mr. Marcello is nothing but awesome. So, if your into bands such as Bon Jovi, Danger Danger, Baton Rouge, Autograph, Def Leppard and Van Halen then this is something you can´t miss. I don´t know what could beat this as the album of the year, but we have to wait and see. This is an awesome album filled with classy stuff so get it right now.

Did you know that?

Anchor & Braille┬┤s initial output greatly contrasted with Christian┬┤s primary band Anberlin, relying on toned-down instruments such as keyboards, pianos, and acoustic guitars. However, the 2009 album utilized a full band, with all songs written by Christian but produced and augmented with additional instrumentation by Aaron Marsh (Copeland) afterward.
