Review

Timecop1983 has delievered yet another synth laced piece of retro art work!

'Lovers Part 1' is the highly anticipated follow up to their very succesful 'Reflections' album. Would be lying if I didn't say I was really skeptical about giving this one a listen. I was just fresh off hearing the previous album and riding the nostalgia wave full throttle. So I began thinking to myself how on earth could they possibly top 'Reflections' or even match up to it.

The album begins with the song 'Home' which I feel is a welcoming start for the listener. Immediately one is greeted by the synths and showed in through the albums door. Passing along the rooms in the house of tracks I stopped and admired 'Tears In The Rain' which is my favorite of all. It made me think of Prince whom we lost earlier this year and how we all cried. As I carried onward and made my way through I began to feel as if something was missing. By the time I reached the last song 'Gone' oddly enough my nostalgia slowly faded. Was this the end already I thought to myself and sadly it was.

Although the back to the 80's trip was short it was quit pleasant. Honestly,I was left wanting more and felt like the album would have been so much bettter had there been a varitey of vocal tracks. None the less it was still a good effort.

You can purchase 'Lovers Part 1' and other works on Spotify as well as Bandcamp.
