The Irish extreme metallers Skewered formed in 2003 and their first release came out in 2007, they started out as a death metal act but sounds more like an extreme metal band on their debut full length that is unleashed in January 2012. But you can still hear traces of bands like Bathory and Entombed in their songs even if the major part of the album goes in the vein of modern metal, they´re a tight act and also pull off some heavy shit but most songs tend to soundalike which is a shame. If you´re looking for clean vocals, you can stop reading right here. Skewered gives the listener a full dose of 100% growls, I like the production and I do think it´s a decent album but I would´ve settled with just an EP this time.
The 69 Eyes frontman Jyrki is a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador of Finland. He was also awarded The Outstanding Young Person of the World award (Seoul, Korea 2006). In addition, he has a Master of Science degree in Analytical Chemistry.
