Review

Seattle rockers and former Epic Records artists Brad returns with a new album in 2012, their first album since 2003 even though the previous album "Best friends" was released in 2010 it was recorded back in 2003. Brad features members of Pearl Jam, Satchel and Pigeonhead and the style is not easy to describe in one word. There´s a little bit of everything on "United we stand" from grunge to powerpop, from post rock to psychedelia and even Americana. The songs sound timeless and the melodies are just amazing, I know Art Alexakis of Everclear would be proud and even Michael Stipe of R.E.M. The new single "A reason to be in my skin" is one of the highlights along with "Needle and thread" or why not the artsy "Bound in time" as a contender for the next single? The guitar riff in "Last Bastion" has a bit White Stripes over it, cool song. 4 stars, nothing less.

Tracklisting 1. Miles of Rope
2. Bound in Time
3. A Reason to Be in My Skin
4. Diamond Blues
5. The Only Way
6. Last Bastion
7. Make the Pain Go Away
