Review

Neon Trees was in a good flow with their debut album Habits. You could even hear the song "Animal" on the radio here in Sweden, which was somewhat surprising. Have not heard anything from the new album Picture Show yet, but hope it's a matter of time when I think it has much potential.
It is not easy to follow up successful debuts, but this Provo, Utah-based band delivers here eleven strong tracks and should be mentioned as one of the big in today's pop. Their catchy pop with one foot in the 80s and the other in today's pop wave works very well and feels at the same time innovative. The band has found their own style and really knows how to write good songs without being to mainstream.
Hope now that Island Records are giving them the promotion they deserve, as they are ready to take the next step clearly! Neon Trees are one of the best commercial acts now and Picture Show confirms this really!

Did you know that?

Soul SirkUS drummer Virgil Donati got the question if he was nervous when he auditioned for Dream Theater, -No I was more of a nervous wreck when I auditioned for Steve Perry.
