Scarlet Haze is a new interesting female fronted hardrock band. Fans of Halestorm should pay attention now because One Bad Bitch is right the same alley as them. Fronted by Kat Perkins that has a powerful and melodic voice that really shines out on this album, I got hooked. Album opener Blame It On You sets the standard for this album. Yes, this is a monster rocker with big crunchy guitars and a huge catchy chorus. Can’t Get Enuff continues the album in a fantastic way with powerful drum sound and big hooklines and the guitars are all over this song. The title track rocks big time with heavy melodic riffs and a bombastic chorus that fans of Halestorm will love for sure. Hero is a fantastic semi-ballad that could have been on a Nickelback album. Chad Kroeger (Nickelback) has co-written Reach Down and this sounds like a leftover from Nickelback, nice rocker, but nothing more. King Of Loneliness is an instant hit and this is a song that hooks you up right away. The chorus is stunning. Suffocating is an awesome mid-tempo rocker with fantastic guitars in the chorus, another song that you can’t get out of your head. Give Me A Reason is an outstanding piano power ballad with a huge chorus and damn how good Kat sings, I get goose bumps. There’s also a hidden track, it’s a different version of Blame It On You. The production is crystal clear and powerful. Only down point is the booklet that is a bit cheap, but otherwise this is an MUST album if your into Halestorm. So get yourself a copy of this monster albums right away. It’s an order. This is one of the albums I played most recently.
Radiohead – originally known as "On a Friday", the band was given two weeks after signing to Parlophone to change their name. The band renamed themselves after the 1986 Talking Heads song "Radio Head" on the album True Stories, claiming it as the "least annoying song" from the album.
