Description:
Derry, Northern Ireland-based Fighting With Wire have had a tough trip with their second album "Colonel Blood". The band got signed in 2008 by Atlantic Records and got the major label debut produced by none other than Nick Raskulinecz (Foo Fighters, Rush, Deftones). But nothing happened for four years, and the band left the record label in March this year unfortunately. The album was then slated to be released freely to the fans, but the band signed a well deserved deal with Xtra Mile Recordings that released it on 24 September.
Musically speaking is Fighting With Wire in the same area as Foo Fighters and Biffy Clyro with straight rock songs on an attitude filled format. And it was really a stroke of luck for the band to work with Nick Raskulinecz that has given them a clean and perfect sound.
So if you like this type of Modern classic rock, "Colonel Blood," is an album you should check out!
Highlights: "Waiting On A Way To Believe", "Erase You", "The Great Escape"
