Review

Titans Eve is a modern thrash metal group from Vancouver BC. They have been making some headlines overseas and are gracing our shores in October on a tour with Arch Enemy. By their touring company you might be able to tell what kind of music this is.

As many other albums in this genre this one starts off with an acoustic intro that fades into more fast-paced heavier songs. We have heard this template before and I think it is a quite nice way to ready the listener for the oncoming songs. Road to Ruin is a nice song with a cool guitar lick in the pre-choruses. Overall, there are many killer riffs here and I cannot believe that this is an independent release as the production is of the highest quality. I also like the length of the album. 11 songs that clock in on 38 minutes is just enough and insures you that you will not be bored with this album.

There are two instrumental tracks and they both add to the diversity of the album, one of them even sporting some bongo drums. Not the best song but it works. Al though this is a thrash metal album there is always a melodic feel to the songs, and that is a plus in my books. Sure, not all songs are great but there there are more goods song than bad songs. Investigate.

Did you know that?

Linkin Park is spelled that way because the band wanted to get the "dot com" and LincolnPark.com was already taken.
