Review

If you like: Ingram Hill, Luke Bryan, Jack Owen

Description:
Hodges was previously signed to the Matchbox Twenty frontman, Rob Thomas RTEL imprint on Epic Records. In 2008, the album was supposed to come out, but unfortunately nothing happened and thought it was yet another example of a musical talent who disappeared without having a fair chance.
But Hodges is now back under the name JT Hodges, and has just come out with this self-titled debut. Unfortunately, I must say that this is not the material from RTEL time as he has chosen to move towards a much more country-influenced sound. Sure there are some shades of Matchbox Twenty and even Daughtry, but overall this is a pure pop / country pad which is a pity as the earlier stuff was stronger for a Modern Rock lover like me. But if you like this kind of country, JT Hodges is sure a guy to check out!

Highlights: "Give It One More Night", "When I Stop Crying", "Right About Now"

Did you know that?

Steve Jones of Sex Pistols loved to listen to Foreigner and Journey in the late 70´s but never admitted it to the others in the band.
