Review

Chicago, IL-based Makeshift Prodigy is a band to be reckoned with indeed in 2013. This Ep really shows how Modern Rock should sound in 2012, and must say I am impressed with material. Liked their last album "Mathematica", which they released on their own in 2010, but this is much better. They've gone from being a band in the crowd to a great promise in the genre with strong melodies and a great deal of passion.
Stylistically, they're not far from SafetySuit with great melodies, beautiful pop melodies, and this in a bombastic style. One could also say that they sound like Coldplay on steroids, as there are some similarities here and there.
A very nice Ep, which bodes well for the future!

Highlights: “Chasing Daylight”, “Bittersweet Surrender”, “Perfect Mistake
