Review

Thought actually not that this album would come out, actually. Los Angeles-based Satellite with Mitch Allen (Sr-71) and Steven McMorran (Trading Yesterday) released in 2010 the strong EP Ring The Bells, but then it became rather silent. The band made occasional appearances in his hometown, but an album did not come out until March 2013 on Descendant Records / Sony Music Entertainment.
Musically follows this the same track as the Ep with a mix of Modern Rock, Brit Rock and Americana, this is done for the large arenas. Think they have found an great style that feels very classic and timeless, yet fresh and modern at the same time.
Of the six tracks that were on the EP was, all with the Calling Birds, which is understandable since they all were of great standard. The new tracks on the album are equally good, and in general this record is given to check out if you’re into bands like Snow Patrol, The Fray and why not say Augustana.
Great album!
