Scottish rockers Biffy Clyro has been a favorite band since the second record Puzzle. The subsequent Only Revolutions was in the same class and gave them much deserved much publicity and numerous nominations. So the band should be counted among the largest on the European rock scene with bands like Coldplay and Muse, even if they are slightly behind, mostly because they have not been active as long. Opposites certainly were not easy to follow up, but the band shows once again that they are tremendous delivery safe with fourteen strong tracks. Stylistically, it feels like they had a bigger budget with a larger production where the alternative parts had to step away slightly. Do, however, think that they made it very stylish and have not "sold" them to the radio friendly devil in any way. Tracks like "Black Chandelier" and "The Joke's On Us" stands out, but you will find many more brilliant tracks on this well-made album.
One of the year's strongest albums without a doubt!
