It's very hot now in the pop genre, adding house beats like David Guetta. Pop Masters OneRepublic follows this naturally on their third album, which has taken their sound to the next level. They have also taken on some of Coldplay's atmospheric and epic melodies, so there are many nuances in this bands updated sound. If there is only positive I am not entirely sure as they have lost a bit of their own style that made them really big. However, they really prove once again that they know how to write really good pop songs as Natives is filled with tracks made for the commercial radio.
"Burning Bridges" might be the best song Ryan Tedder has ever written with a cool beat and bombastic chorus. Other tracks like “I Lose Myself” and “What You Wanted” are all on a really high level and generally Native is a very well written pop album without pitfalls.
