Really liked Vinyl Theathers debut album Electrogram from 2014. With its sun-splashed electro-pop, the record felt perfectly soundwise and it could work as one of the most typical albums from the 2010's.
This new album follows the same path and feels like a very natural follow-up. The playfulness is still here like the extraordinary melodies that made the debut such a cool record. However, I would like to say that Origami feels more produced and big sounding like Neon Trees meets Smallpools, where plenty of the stylish electro-pop is gone. But although it lacks some of the simplicity and also own identity that Electrogram to a great record, I think that Origami is as strong with even better songs. Tracks like "30 Seconds", "Speak My Mind" and "Pull Your Weight" hold the highest grade and more strong tracks can be found here for sure. So this is another cool album to check out if you like this kind of warm Indie Pop.
