Review

Bruno Mars has done it again!

Today I bring to you all my thoughts on his 24K Magic album.

'24K Magic' is a perfect fun go out for a night on the town with friends kinda tune. The lyrics are catchy, fresh and hip as can be with Bruno keeping a constant flow. Its a song that will leave you feeling the magic as one goes on a journey of living it up in style.

'Chunky' pretty much is self explanatory. This song is about having a thing for girls with a little extra junk in their trunk and smarts to match. After listening my ears were reminded of the early 2000's rap and funk scene. Its a smooth and steady track easy on the listeners ears.

'Perm' without a doubt has a funky James Brown like feel to it and definitely gets one up off their seats.

'That's What I Like' is another catchy hip jam off this great album. It has the perfect combination of all three genres Bruno dominates in. The music video is well worth checking out as Bruno shows off his finest moves yet. Is there anything this guy can't do? 'That's What I Like' has been on repeat in my playlist.

'Versace On The Floor' has also been on repeat in my playlist for awhile as it has become my favorite song by Bruno Mars thus far. 'Versace On The Floor' has hints of 80's and 90's slow jam vibes written all over it with of course a modern pop approach. Can only begin to imagine how many babies were made once this song hit the airwaves.

'Straight Up' and 'Calling All My Lovelies' have the same structured slowed down feel to them. They both were tracks that weren't bad at all but I didn't feel connected to them verses others.

'Finesse' has a Backstreet Boy essence and took my ears back in time to the late 90's pop boy bands scene of the industry.

'Too Good To Say Goodbye' is about having to let somebody you loved with all your heart go and wanting nothing more than to make things right again. Bruno takes us spot on through the emotions of what one feels during the times after things end. I thought it finished off nicely what was an awesome record.

This album can be described in honestly one word, magic. It's a brew of pop, soul and funk rolled into a modern spell. Would definitely recommend people to give 24K Magic a listen for themselves.

You can find Bruno on various medias and his work where ever music is sold!

Did you know that?

John Mellencamp was never comfortable with the fact that he had changed his name to the stage name ┬┤Johnny Cougar┬┤. However, his success made it difficult to change back, so in the 80s he became the hybrid John Cougar Mellencamp.
