Artist discography

Jonny Lang is back with his first album for four years and it´s called "Signs".
The album will be released on September 8th in North America and August 25th in Europe.
I thought that this was a very good record, full of variety and it shows both the bluesy
and rock side of Lang as well as the softer side, check out the final track "Singing Songs" and
you will hear what I mean, its a dramatic ballad that is totally different from the rest of the album.

Lang himself says about the album: "Some of the songs are autobiographical, but not usually in a literal way. The main goal is for folks to be able to relate to what I went through. If I can't make it work using just my personal experience, I use my imagination to fill in blanks."

I think that the record, which features funk, rock and blues elements, is held together by Lang’s distinctive playing and singing and the album is full of solid songs. The opening track "Make it Move" is a powerful song and a cool way to start the album.
The following songs "Snakes" and "Last Man Standing" are both modern uptempo rock blues
and the song "What You're Made Of" is a very catchy track that reminds me a lot of Stevie Wonder.

Worth checking out in my opinion is also "Bring Me Back Home" that is a beautiful soulful ballad and the song "Wisdom" that is a great slow blues song focussing on Jonny's tough vocals and guitar. I think that this is a strong album with a good variety of up tempo boogie, slow soulful blues and of course Kenny's unmistakable guitar.
So if you like Jonny, this new music will be a welcome addition to your music collection.

Did you know that?

According to member Jared Leto, the name Thirty Seconds To Mars is a rough translation of a phrase from the manuscript Argus Apacase and was chosen by the band for being "imaginative and really represent[ing] the sound of our music in as unique a way as possible.
