From the first chords of “Can’t Explain” you can see this is going to be a unique look at the Who. The good thing here is that this isn't a huge stage so you get a great feeling of a band really playing together and firing eachother to a higher level.
On top of that the production is quite simple.
But this really works out well.
It is almost like to see a band jamming in somekind of rehearsal studio.
Their 1970 appearance was also captured previously and is also available on DVD.
Pete Townsend playes with fire and has some great jokes along the way.
Roger’s great voice is really clear so a big thumbs up for the sound engineer and the ones who recorded this.
It's like Pete is playing his strat on the couch next to you..
The Who’s Live At The Isle Of Wight 2004 is available June 9th of Eagle Rock Entertainment/Universal Music in different formats.
Really a must have for all that are loving music like My Generation (had to finish with a short joke).
