Review

Coopertheband is not to be confused with the Canadian hard rock band Cooper, the band I´m talking about calls Tennesse their home and the sound is far from hard rock.

Coopertheband debuted with the full length "Venture" in 2010 that was followed by the "Kings" EP in 2012 but the first time I get to hear this good band, is the 3rd release "Kingdoms" featuring the brilliant single "Rebels".
This band delivers a crossover of folk, country and indie rock where the result is like an explosion of positiveness that is truly needed in these dark times, you could say the music has a summer flavor to it. I see children play by the pool when I hear the upbeat "Abigail" and I feel the warm night breeze of July when the laid back "Collarbones" comes on.

It´s a good album but if more tracks were in the same quality as "Rebels", I would´ve given "Kingdoms" 4 stars instead of 3.

Recommendable if you like Walk Off The Earth, Foster The People, Born Cages

Did you know that?

Before drumming in Glasvegas, Caroline McKay had never played the instrument before – she had been working in a clothing store when James Allan met her.
