Review

This Florida band called Cold will release their third album next week and it?s a quality album that will be out. Their previous albums, which where released in 1998 and 2000 are both quite nice efforts, but in my opinion this is absolutely their best one so far. With the help of Howard Benson, which seems to produce most of the tougher rock albums, Cold?s dark sound has been taken into a new level with this superb production. The riffs are really tight and explode like shells here and there, which fits so damn fine on this edgy piece of plastic. To compare Cold with some other bands isn?t that difficult, cause you have heard this before in bands like Puddle of Mudd and Seether, which both has done really well. And since those albums has done really well I think that Cold will have some great weeks on the charts quite soon.

Songs that stick out are the opener ?Remedy? with a pumping melody that just stuck at once and I won?t be to surprised if we will see this as single in the future. Another song that I got mention is ?Suffocate?, which also has potential with a great chorus.

Year of the Spider shows the tougher side of modern rock and might be to tough for some of the readers. But if you?re into the bands I compared them with I can guarantee that you won?t be disappointed with this one. Quality!
