Review

In the world of a messed-up music industry where teenagers in reality TV shows gets a million dollar record deal, it´s time to look beyond the madness and find the bands that noone hears about. The real talents.
Balloons Kill Babies is a promising trio from Brisbane, Australia that debuted with the "Leviathan" EP in 2013 and followed up with the acoustic live album "A Night At The Triffid" in 2015, the band recently also released the really good single "Patches in the sky" last year.
We´re talking heavy instrumental post-rock here, the music is dark and slightly progressive and really interesting. They sound a bit like Amplifier without the vocals but the listener will also find traces of bands like Rush, Pink Floyd and U2 in their new EP "Prodromal".
So sit back, relax and let the music take you on a journey. The musicians Christian Carter - Guitar, Karl O´Shea - Bass and Scott Davey - Drums, really shines in songs like "Breach" and "Illuzia". This is so far away from MTV Awards and American Idol as you can get, "Prodromal" is more organic than plastic if you know what I mean.
Recommendable if you like Russian Circles and Ovrfwrd.
