Review

Don´t you just love an underdog in music that noone really expects, I mean most new artists today look at the charts to see what´s selling or they try to seek fortune and fame in reality TV shows like The Voice and Idol.
But then we have the ones who go their own way and don´t really care what journalists or people in the music industry will say. The Swedish guy Michael Crimson´s debut album "Medusa" is the least thing you would expect in this age of autotune vocals and computerized hitsongs.
His voice is reminiscent of a young David Bowie while the music has a bit of Queen´s pomp, Mott The Hoople´s glam and Pink Floyd´s psychedelic sounds (The David Gilmour-era).
Turn back time to Top of the Pops in 1974 and put Michael Crimson on stage, the success would be just as imminent as a Max Martin song in the 21st century.
"Medusa" might not reach platinum status in 2018 but this album sure as hell is worth the gold in my home.
