Review

Beyond Horizons is the 4th EP to come from Stellar Dreams.

After being inspired by the Hollywood film called Interstellar this band was guided into a whole new direction. With inputs from Sci-Fi to simply being intrigued by the unknown that is yet to be discovered within space Beyond Horizons was born and took flight.

Starting off we have 'Intro' that right away gave me the feeling I was just emerging into space territory via shuttle. Its a brief little galaxy splash of a thing but I feel it captures what could be ones initial reaction of awe to seeing the stars.

Next up is 'Horizons' that begins real mellow and nicely ambient while later flowing like a river into a retrowave delight. I love how I can hear the emotions within its journey as it takes the listeners ears on a out of this world trek across the galaxy. Full of good vibes. Definitely my favorite jam of the bunch.

'Parallel' took a little while to grow on me because I was getting use to the soothing sounds without vocals. After awhile I began to think to myself what part does this song belong in the story and then it hit, traveling to a universe perhaps parallel to our very own or maybe another dimension not known to man just yet.

I really felt that 'Valkyrie' captured the many dangers yet alone mysteries of the unknown in space nicely. It was almost as if the listener was traveling through uncharted darkness past huge chucks of potential shuttle damaging asteroids, of course all in search for answers.

'Memories' and the final track 'Dimensions' go hand in hand. They are like theme songs of reflection regarding ones findings and thoughts on what lurks beyond the horizon of our planet many light years away.

I'd have to say overall Beyond Horizons is a nice improvement compared to the previously released works. The listener will really hear the difference in quality and the production on this vinyl. If you'd like to check out Stellar Dreams be sure to head over to Bandcamp
