Review

This is my first acquaintance with female fronted Florida (US) based band LEEM OF EARTH and I just had to write a little about it, even though this is outside of my ordinary “music box”. “Chapter two” is the latest release, containing three songs that really speak to me.

One artist I think of immediately is Norwegian girl SUSANNE SUNDFÖR. The music is suggestive and mainly very soft, with lots of floating keyboards. Especially the first two songs, “Water” and “Faithful lights”, have a certain mysticism almost like when you have watched a magician make a silver dollar disappear, and you’re left wondering where it will appear. In the third tune “Only so many ways” there is actually some guitar added, which makes the music partly “soft rock based”, although the previous synth domination is still there in some parts as well.

PETER GABRIEL is mentioned as one of the references in the biography, by the way. I wouldn’t say any of the songs sounds like Gabriel, but the music will absolutelhy attract the same fans. Check this out of you like what you read here.
