Another World is the 2013 debut extended play to come from Magic Dance.

Beginning this disc is 'Another World' and it sure does live up to its name. 'Another World' gradually builds like that of a rocket ship preparing to blast off with soothing synth. As the song moves along it breaks out into a fun outer space like jingle. Near the peak everything slows down leaving the listener briefly feeling as if they were in awe from having looked out a window passing the stars. It is the only instrumental piece you will find of the five songs presented.

'Secrets' gave me Alphaville vibes and so did 'The Starchild'. I feel these two pieces embraced the whole space exploration theme the artist was going for but personally I didn't care much for them. I felt they lacked a certain element of wow. It was like I was listening to the same song but fed a different alias.

'Where Will I Be' reminded me a lot of 'Falling Apart' By Timecop1983 but just a tad more upbeat. I like how the electric guitar was brought into the picture giving the song that cherry on top. In my opinion the guitar is what seals the deal.

Wrapping things up we have 'Reap The Voice You've Made' which delivers a positive message to the listener. It makes you think about your words yet alone actions briefly thus far in life. Like most of the extended play it is upbeat and reeks that 80's cheesy synthpop feel.

I'd have to say I wasn't completely blown away by this extended play but it wasn't a total loss. You can check out Magic Dance on Facebook and Bandcamp.
