Review

After supporting some major rockacts like for example Kiss, Scorpions and The Dead Daisies, as well as performing at various festivals, German rockers The New Roses thought it was time for a new release.

Their new album Nothing But Wild is out now.

Already after the first notes i was completely hooked.

Catchy songs with loads of licks, hooks and awesome smokey vocals which are easy to sing along with.

The style has a southern USA sleazy bluesy rock flavour and to me can be seen as a mixture of The Dead Daisies meets old Bon Jovi spiced with some Skynyrd.

In fact the band describes the album as declaring love to USA rock themselves.

An amazing album and a strong contester to make it to this reviewers album top 10 yearlist on melodic.

There simply are no weak spots on Nothing But Wild and it can be described as the ideal album to play during a long summer roadtrip.

Some highlights are "Soundtrack Of My Life", "Can't Stop Rock & Roll", "Down By The River", "Glory Road" and "The Bullet".

Also the two unplugged bonus tracks are a great way to finish this musical roadtrip at a campfire and therefore an awesome addition.
