Review

Ha this is fun, all songs were recorded in their previous days when we could consider Toto as a band who legendary tracks & albums that are carved in stone up in "our" universe !! All songs are like demo tracks who never made it to the albums but were laying in some draw collecting dust. Now they've been cleaned & recorded again with a nice clean production on top. The result is cool but after i enjoyed these songs the 1st 2 times i listened to my tape i must confess that i also noticed that you could hear the reason why these tracks never made it to the albums. They are simple, clean but the old fashion nostalgy really makes it worth purchasing this "XX" CD. I didn't liked the Joseph Williams songs as much as the Bobby Kimball songs. "Tale Of A Man"  is really cool also the ballad "Right Part Of Me" is outstanding & the jamming live stuff on the later half of this album is cool like "On The Run" (7 minutes") & "Africa"(again! For almost 10 minutes). Fans of Jeffrey Porcaro & will swallow this album to pieces, for myself i think it's a nice surprise & good idea of what they did for their fans, nothing more, nothing less !!
