Review

Randy Jackson is back with Zebra. It has been quiet around Zebra for 17 years but now they are back with the original line-up. Ok, Randy has been recorded albums with both China Rain and The Sign(released through Frontiers Records in 2000) so he has not been lazy. But now he has put together the 4th new Zebra album simply called "IV". This sounds like Zebra did back in the 80?s and all the trademarks of the Zebra sound are there but I don?t think the songs reach the same level as it did back then. This is very Led Zeppelin meets Kingdom Come with traces of China Rain but not as catchy. One of the songs that are on this album called "Light Of My Love" was also on the China Rain album. "Waiting To Die" is a nice ballad with jazz influences that sounds like Kingdom Come. I have to say that many of the songs are boring, average and dull. But if your a die-hard fan of Zebra then you might listen to this album before you buy it. If your into China Rain and The Sign you can skip this new Zebra album. Maybe I?m too hard on this album but I can?t help myself because the songs don?t give me anything.
