Review

I came in contact with Geoff a while back through my friend Magnus at Atenzia Records who mail me once in a while saying
- Hey P?r - write him/them/that and buy/ask them for a copy of their album, as youre gonna love it...
He sure knows my taste the old wise man from Atenzia. He wrote me a mail
about Geoff, so I surfed away to his homepage and listened and know Im
here with a proper CD. And what can I say than Magnus was 100% right once
again.
I really enjoy this album! Well produced modern singer songwriter rock
with a powerpop edge. All with TONS of great songs and harmonies. Add a
fantastic voice to the recipe and youll get the grip. First out is a great tune
called "Versus The World" and the following tune "Silver Plated" is even
better. Gehh!! Bloody monster tune that ALL OF YOU must listen to.
Imagine a mix between Jellyfish, a young and horny Elton John and Ben Folds and
were quite there... Third out "Tail Of The Rain..." shows a more acoustic
edge. And what a voice he has! And what a refrain! Melodic madness... I just
love it. Fourth out "I Will Be There" sounds like a great Blessid Union Of Souls
tune (and for you guys whos been reading Melodic Net for while knows how much I Love that band!). And thats the way this album is... Except for two tunes its just a great album. Simple as that. (Fifth out is a cover of Bee Gees "How Deep Is Your Love" and I dont really understand why he put it on the album. Sure its nice done and all that, but if I wanna hear it I prefer the original with BeeGees and sixth out "Elusive" is not one of the stronger songs aboard.) But the rest... phew... surf away immediately to his page and listen yourself. 2003 was sure a great year for music! A big bravo to Geoff splendid work.
