Review

There?s nothing like a decent injection of melodic hard rock sometimes to wipe away
the flood of modern metal coming all over us,even if I have nothing against many numetal bands-it?s the classic 80?s hard rock I?ve grown up with and loved through the years.
Winger is one of my favorite bands and when something sounds a bit like that,I surrender and put on a big smile on my face......this time it?s ex Dokken member Jeff Pilson and his band War and Peace that surprises me with their blend of Dokken/Winger rocking songs.
Jeff hasn?t been lazy these latest 2 years,he and Tommy Henriksen did the "Underground moon" album in 2002,recorded an album with his former bandmate George Lynch simply titled "Lynch/Pilson" in 2003,produced the new band Clear Static?s Island debut which
will be out this summer and also War and Peace that was released in April......so he?s an ambitious songwriter and musician.
I?m not saying that WAP is as good as Winger but it?s close enough ,it?s definitely better than any Dokken album.
"The Walls have eyes","Stranger in my own land","No one is listening" and "The line in the sand" are great songs that I think I?ll never get tired of,the rest of the album is good enough to spend your money on.
