Review

The Anix are a four piece band from Southern California which formed in 2001,created with a vision to combine the music they grew up listening to (The Cure,Cars,Depeche Mode and other new wave bands of the 80?s) with some of today?s more modern sounding numetal, postgrunge and industrial rock bands.
This quartet is a young band with an age between 18-23,singer Brandon Smith sounds a bit like Robert Smith of The Cure and the music goes in the same vein as Orgy,Hate Dept and Deadsy.
The album has a high classy production that should be enjoyed with your headphones on,there are so many cool sounds and phat synthesizers that will pass you by otherwise.
"An Illusion of time" echoes out some 80?s vibes but in a modern way,The Anix?s sound doesn?t feel dated at all-instead it?s very fresh and could fool anyone for a big budget production.
It?s nice to hear music that really feels positive like a big white shining light, thumbs up for The Anix!
