I?m not short of new albums to review coz I?ve got plenty of them to write about that will be online here next week, but I want to make sure you get real good input at the independent market with all the releases you maybe never get to know about otherwise. We put up a news notice of this band Red Wanting Blue at our news column not long ago that they have a new album (Pride, the cold lover) to be released in October which was produced and mixed by the fine team of Ted Comerford (The Argument) and Paul David Hager (Shawn Mullins,The Donnas). Their debut "Velveteen" came out in 98 and since then, this Columbus,OHIO quartet has released 5 independent albums in total with "Souvenirs...." as the latest effort. In some moments they sound like a softer version of Creed and in others, not far from Default and Lifehouse with the same typical soft postgrunge tendencies. Our webmaster Wippo boy is a sucker for this kinda music but I have a hard time liking these vibrato voices sounding like Eddie Vedder (Pearl Jam),Red Wanting Blue sure will please all postgrunge fans but to me - they will be just another forgettable name in the jungle out there.
