Review

Hurts debut album Happiness was nothing but a huge success. It was the fastest-selling debut album of 2010 by a band in the UK and has sold over two million copies worldwide. Personally think it was a very good album, with its luxurious pop in a clear 80’s format close to Depeche Mode and Duran Duran.
They are now back with Exile and this like on debut in a retro sound with a modern pop twist. However, the sound is this time a little larger and slightly harder, though Hurts hardly can be called a hard band. Do, however, think that this "new" sound feels more exciting and definitely more unique because it does not feel as "copied" as like the debut.
And when it comes to songs, we get an album filled with hits and pop world class. Did not think the band would be able to deliver as they do here, but Exile is a very, very good pop album, maybe the best in 2013 so far.
Highlights: "Miracle," "Somebody To Die For," "Only You"
