I really liked Story Of The Years debut ?Page Avenue? from 2003. It?s filled with post-hardcore/emo goodies and was one that year?s nicest surprise. This live record then was recorded in the bands hometown, St Louis and isn?t as big surprise. Ok, the bonus DVD with live stuff, behind the scenes and videos of the singles "Until the Day I Die" and "Anthem of Our Dying Day" are sure nice extra stuff. The problem here is that leadvocalist Dan Marsala sing so much weaker live than on record. The typical hardcore screams are no problem, he?s got full control of them, no it?s when he?s singing the problems start. It?s at times on its way to false and that?s very annoying I can tell you.

The band is probably a good live act cause there?s a lot of energy in their music. But that?s another thing, those lines are about a record, a package that I?m not that impressed of.
So unless you?re a die-hard fan of the band there?s no need to grab this one. Get their ?Page Avenue? or wait for their forthcoming one instead!
