Review

Hold your horses, what is this?! - high quality laidback progressive pop with fusion/westcoast influences a la Bruce Hornsby,Toy Matinee and Kip Winger?s solo albums, ohyes this band by the name of Simon Apple will surprise many music lovers out there.
The band features the trio:Jeff Miller,Buzz Saylor-Instruments and Dan Merrill-Vocals plus an incredible line up of guest musicians like Tony Levin-Bass,John Helliwell-Saxophone (Supertramp),Buck Dharma-Guitars (Blue Oyster Cult) to name a few.
"River to the sea" is their second album that features the new singer Dan Merrill (with a voice similar to Paul Carrack) who replaced John Feldmann who sang on the debut "From the toybox" (1998) that
completely has slipped through my hands, the band says they are influenced by bands like Sting,E.L.O,Genesis,Steely Dan,Dave Matthews Band etc so you understand what we?re dealing with here.
70 minutes of Pure melodic heaven!
