When I did the interview with Vince DiCola for melodic.net,he informed me about this charity album where he has contributed with 3 songs incl.the masterpiece "Suffer the children" feat. Steve Walsh from Kansas! Since I only have heard it on tape,I just gotta have it on CD and every DiCola fan out there should do the same...... The music on the album is westcoast oriented and soulful with performances from Bill Champlin,Jason Scheff,Joshua Perahia and many other famous artists from bands like Three Dog Night, Supertramp,Steely Dan,Jethro Tull,Toto and Doobie bros to name a few. The bluesy "Chamber of your heart" performed by Robin Trower and singer Davey Pattison of Gamma/Montrose is a real beauty of a song,Davey sings heavenly but it?s the magical "Suffer the children" that is worth the whole cd itself - oh holy smoke what a progressive melodic anthem it is! Vince DiCola and Steve Walsh started a collaboration in 1985 with the plans of doing an album together but Kansas called and asked if Steve Walsh was interested in coming back to the band so they never got that far. But "Power" with Kansas from 1986 is a real good album too so I shouldn?t complain that much either, anyway this charity album is recommendable to all fans of westcoast music out there.
