Granted this album has been out for a while, it?s gone largely unnoticed, which is quite simply a travesty. If you miss the best elements of Crowded House?s "Woodface," James? "Whiplash" or Remy Zero?s "The Golden Hum," then this album is absolutely essential listening. The songs aren?t the most catchy around, but the melodies are quite striking, and, to boot, the band mines a territory similar to that of James? more sparse, Eno-imbued numbers. If you miss any of those long since forgotten bands mentioned above, buy this now; otherwise, start with some classic Finn brothers-penned stuff and work your way here.
