Review

The Italian label Scarlet Records opens up 2006 with a new strong metal album with progressive influences, these Italian guys of Oracle Sun delivers a very good album indeed and they sound very much like their labelmates Vision Divine.
OS includes members from bands such as Labyrinth, Sigma, Madragora and Shining Fury, the singer Val Shieldon has a fantastic and powerful voice and sings very clean.
His voice reminds of Queensr?che?s Geoff Tate and therefor,a couple of the slower songs reminds very much of Queensr?che.

OS has lots of great arrangements with great harmonies and melodies, the songs never gets boring because they have a running time around 4-5 minutes and that?s gives you a great deal of pleasure to listen to it.
There are plenty of great songs for fans of progressive metal. Just listen to the great "Changes" with brilliant keyboardsound and lovely melodies.
The best song is the wonderful Queensr?che sounding "Light Of Life" that really impresses me with strong hooklines and pure melody extasy. Just close your eyes when you listen to this song through your headphones and dream away, this is magic stuff.
I could easily tell you about every song because this is great stuff and if you have some albums with Vision Divine then this is a sure buy, don?t hesitate to get this strong album from these Italian guys in Oracle Sun.
