Review

Platinum Jar is a new act from Leicester,UK based around three brothers Jay, Rich, Aaron and the newest member Ryan.
They have released a 4-track EP that is very impressive where they bring out some excellent melodic, powerful and catchy songs.
They sure have a typical English touch in their sound that I got hooked on. I would describe their sound as a mix of Bon Jovi and Little Angels (remember them?).
The production sounds like a major label release and is very good, they have found a great sound and I love the piano/keyboard sound they have that makes the songs sound so melodic and fresh in the same way.

The singer Jason Lang has a strong and great voice that lifts up the songs even more. Out of the 4 tracks on the CD - the opening track "Slow Road" is the highlight of this album. This is a fantastic mid-tempo rocker with lots of Bon Jovi vibes over it.
It?s a song that hooked me up with lovely melodies, superb harmonies and nice strings, classy song indeed.
"Rock Chick" is more rockier with nice a hammondorgan but the chorus don?t lift up this song, just OK.
"Our Lost Youth" is yet again a hammond rocker that reminds of Little Angels, nice song. The Last song "My Favourite Drug" is an acoustic ballad with strong harmony vocals in the chorus.
Platinum Jar is a new interesting band and this 4-tracks demo will promise something good for the future and I?m really looking forward to hear a full-length album.
