Review

After 2 releases on Equal Vision, the Canadian hardcore act Alexisonfire signed with Vagrant and now releases their 3rd album "Crisis" which is their most melodic effort so far.
It?s less screamo and contains more clean vocals and even a few moments with piano to get the sound more melodic like on the track "Boiled frogs".
They?re still playing an energetic punkish upbeat hardcore so their older fans won?t be disappointed over hearing "Crisis" but I think this band could gain some new fans as well.
"We are the sound" is made for the stage while the radio ready "This could be anywhere in the world" will appeal to all fans of Thrice and Story of the Year.
The dark "You burn first" should be featured on a future horror movie soundtrack, great song!
An interesting album.
