Review

There aren?t many releases these days that sounds like Tennesse based The Showdown?s new album "Temptation Come My Way".
We?re talking non compromising classic hardrock/metal that hasn?t been infected by grunge, numetal, AOR, emo or any other subgenres.
These guys mean business, I think they have captured the perfect metal sound that is melodic enough to reach out to a big audience.
I just love the crispy but fat production signed by Paul Ebersold (3 Doors Down, Saliva) and songs like "Six feet under" and "Fanatics and whores" truly feels like an elephant kick in your chest.
Thumbs up for the brilliant idea of making an earth shaking tribute to Kansas with their cover of "Carry on wayward son".
So good, so good!

Agreed, as i said it in the news comment :) I like their sound, but I don?t know what made them to change their metalcore/hardcore style.. nevertheless, this is an amazing album! It has some southern rock elements besides classic metal, which makes this album even more dirty!
