Review

20 years after the animated movie Transformers the robots are back on the screen in 2007s most spectacular movie when it comes to special effects. The soundtrack then isnt as impressive as all the animations in the movie, but its still a surprisingly nice experience with a handful of great tunes.
Was disappointed with Spider-Man 3 soundtrack, both when it comes to style and most important of all, the content. It felt pretty lame and grey with just a couple of tunes that fit the movie. But this new soundtrack from Warner is a nice collection of new and upcoming tunes and feels like the best soundtrack for some time. What about new ones from Goo Goo Dolls, H.I.M, Armor For Sleep, Disturbed, Smashing Pumpkins and the cool electronic project featuring Amir Derakh and Ryan Shuck from Orgy. Of those is of course the first official single "Before Its Too Late" by the Goo Goo Dolls the favourite. Its a typical powerballad from the band and its sure one their best songs all time with a lovely chorus. Add then the nice What Ive done with Linkin Park, the third single from The Used last effort in "Pretty Handsome Awkward" and youll have a really hot compilation that is hard to complain about.
If this strong line-up of tunes will help to sell is not crystal clear since most soundtracks have failed to climb the charts the last years. But its sure a nice album, worth checking up if you want the latest in todays rock.
